How accurate is this estimate?

This calculator is based on average regional construction costs for the Siouxland tri-state area. It's a realistic starting point — typically within 15–25% of actual project cost. Site-specific conditions, exact material selections, and labor market fluctuations can move the final number significantly.

What does "finish level" mean?

Standard includes quality LVP, builder-grade cabinets, and quartz countertops — still excellent. Moderate adds upgrades like hardwoods, upgraded fixtures, and custom tile. Luxury includes top-tier everything: custom cabinetry, stone floors, high-end appliances, and premium hardware throughout.

Is lot/land cost included?

No. This estimate covers construction cost only and does not include the price of the lot. If you already own your lot, that cost is not a factor for you.
